Harriet Benson (It’s a Wonderful Life)
What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this remarkable man and consummate professional? I had the absolute pleasure of working with Andrew Joshi quite recently on a stunning and inspirational stage production of the iconic “It’s a Wonderful Life” at East Riding Theatre. At the centre of this company was Joshi – utterly brilliant and compelling as George Bailey and a complete pleasure to work opposite. What a performance he gave each night! He truly was the “Captain of this ship” but so approachable, generous and giving. A really exciting actor to be out there with on stage – never phased at what may happen on the night, compassionate and loving . I sincerely hope I will get the chance to work with him again SOON! He made me laugh, he made me cry but above all, he is a bloody nice bloke!!
Will Richards (The Railway Children)
I worked with Andrew Joshi on a national tour of The Railway Children. As with many of the other testimonials, I can vouch for his professionalism, generosity and support both in the rehearsal room and on the road. He’s a joy to be around and have in the company. His sense of humour and comradeship keeps a group of people working and playing together. Ever the dad of the company, he’s the sort of chap that you feel you can go to if you have a problem or you just want to go for a pint.
I can’t recommend him highly enough.
Sévan Stephan (Breakfast at Tiffany’s)
I have had the pleasure of working with Andrew Joshi for 8 months this year (2016) on the project “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, a Leicester Curve production which toured nationally and transferred to the Theatre Royal, Haymarket in London, playing to sellout houses.
From the very first day of rehearsals, I was immediately struck by his tremendous commitment to live theatre, his warmth, and great generosity to his fellow actors. He is a hugely creative individual, a supremely gifted actor, a brilliant physical performer, and with an innate sense of stagecraft, seeing solutions to problems even before they have arisen. Above all, he is a person with an great overview of what a company are trying to achieve collectively, and this is shown in his consideration, not only for his fellow actors, but to stage-management and other technical crew; and in his ability as a theatre director in his own right. He is an invaluable asset to any theatre company, and I would work with him again in a heartbeat.

I have had the pleasure to know Andrew both professionally and personally and find his commitment, passion and creativity a constant drive. He performs and directs with a real sensitivity and professionalism, never afraid to get under the skin of a production. Always thinking and hungry for risks, he will achieve only the best result. His dedication is an example to us all and I cannot praise him enough.
Rob Marni (Actor)
I worked with Andrew some time ago and I distinctly remember his energy and generosity of spirit coupled with a unique talent as an artist. I’m sure with time that talent and knowledge has only grown more and is stronger.

I have had the great pleasure of working with and being directed by Josh. He is an outstanding performer who’s technical skill and sheer love and knowledge of the craft shine through every character he inhabits. His generosity, love and support for fellow company members place him firmly at the heart of every production he works on. A joy to work with and to watch.
Joss Benathan (Director)
I employed Andrew as an actor/ workshop leader in 2003. As Associate Director for Arc Theatre, I directed and facilitated a series of interactive whole day workshops for Year 6 students, exploring issues of choice and peer pressure. Andrew was a pleasure to work with. Not only is he a great team player and a fine actor, he also had a rare ability to work positively and productively with groups of excited 11 year olds! Andrew was able to establish boundaries and order while allowing the young people to engage, practically and creatively, with the topic. He was particularly skilled at enlisting the truculent and the shy. I recommend him highly.
Andrew Charleson (Actor)
Andrew is a superbly talented actor. He is extremely able, reliable and generous, combining expert technique with passion and creative drive. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
I have had the pleasure of working alongside Josh for 3 months on ‘The Pereira’s Bakery at 76 Chapel Road’ as part of the Curves Inside Out festival 2014 and in that time he never ceased to amaze me with his professionalism, enthusiasm, talent and energy. It was a huge learning curve working alongside him from the beginning. As an actor he’ll deliver above and beyond what is expected and required of him and as a friend, he is loyal and ever willing to help. If given the opportunity to work with him again, I would do so in a heartbeat.
Over the past few weeks that I’ve gotten to know Mr. Joshi, I can honestly and happily say that he is one of the most sincere, kind and talented people I have ever met and worked with. I have had the pleasure of working with Andrew for the past 3 months in a production called ‘Pereira’s Bakery at 76 Chapel Road’, which was performed at Leicester’s prestigious Curve Theatre. He is incredibly professional and dedicated to what he does, and always strives to give the best performance that he can, from portraying the right emotions to executing his lines in the best way possible. I’ve learnt a lot from him and honestly hope that we can work together again in the near and far future. He is truly one in a million and I look forward to seeing him in upcoming productions, as well as keeping in touch with him as a new found friend.
Working with Josh for the past couple of weeks has been nothing short of inspirational. See him go through the journey of becoming his character completely and effortlessly in ‘Pereira’s Bakery at 76 Chapel Road’, has been compelling to watch and motivated me as a co-actor to push myself further. He is the most generous actor I have worked with, which shows he is truly comfortable in his skin as an actor but more so he sees the true potential in you. He is not afraid to give support in every scene, even when not required. I hope I get to work with him again in the near future, to learn from him and grow an an actor myself.
In short Andrew Joshi is a selfless actor….and they make the best ones.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Andrew Joshi in a recent project at Curve theatre. He is a highly talented actor with the upmost professionalism. I have picked up so much from watching him through rehearsal process to performance, he always gives his full energy and dedication to his work. Andrew is a true gem to work with; always approachable and willing to help his co actors out. I have loved working with him and really hope to work with you soon.
I have recently worked with Andrew at Curve Theatre. He has been absolutely fantastic to work with. He is completely committed to his approach from the first rehearsal to the shows. His work is always detailed, solid and dynamic and he is helpful and giving to other cast members. A very talented and generous actor. I will hopefully continue to work with him!
Absolutely brilliant in Its a Wonderful Life at East Riding Theatre. James Stewart is one of my fav actors but Andrew knocked it out of the ball park. I was blown away. It must have been hard to follow in a greats footsteps but he nailed it. Thank you for an amazing evening.
